 Digital Chapter Reviews  Now initially like every school text I have ever picked up I was not enthused. However, as time went on and I began reading more and more I began to be intrigued. This book was FULL of resources from lesson plan ideas to websites and digital resources. I've since created chapter guides on chapters 3, 4, and 6. This process was done using Canva (my favorite creator's outlet, if you couldn't tell) and I loved every minute of it. Personally re-formatting information so it's more aesthetically pleasing and engaging is my favorite thing to do. Please take a look below to see what the final products came out too!!   Final Reflection Science Methods Course Reflection This semester has been nothing but chaos, yes I am not only referring to our world but our classes as well. I understand the struggle many of my teachers were going through trying to master virtual tools while administering them as if they have known them for years. These trying times forced everyone to take a step back and look at things in a new light. This course has made me view virtual teaching in a new light. I have learned about so many digital resources and methods that I most likely would not have known about without coivd19. Below I want to break up my learning into three categories:  Course Gainings, Personal Growth, and Professional Growth.  Course Gainings:  From reading and reflecting on our textbook I have learned so much about teaching children science: A discovery approach, the methods of teaching it, and even the reasons for teaching it.   Let's Jam with Google Jamboard To get an idea of what Google Jamboard just imagine a virtual whiteboard with multiple participant access.  Jamboard empowers students to share ideas and collaborate.  This semester we utilized jamboard in our lessons while teaching to get quick student feedback. It was a great tool to utilize in this sense, although there were some sharing accessibility issues here and there. The really great thing about it is that students can pull files from their own drive and collaborate with jamboard which was a feature we did not use this semester but I will continue to look into. In turn, it truly is a wonderful addition to google classroom and virtual teaching.  As a future educator, I plan to use jamboard as perhaps a classroom response system or just the way we have been using it this semester. It is a valuable tool to have access to. 

ENGAGE: Warm-up How are Lesson and unit plans the same and how are they different?   I think Lesson plans are meant for a single day, like a lesson plan for each day individually. A unit plan is when you take all the individual lesson plans and combine them to create a unit lesson! So that could be on any topic. Post-Reading: As stated above I found my claims for both to be correct. A unit plan incooperates the multiple lessons plans. While lesson plans are specific to the objectives of a single lesson in the grand scheme of the unit plan.  EVALUATE Essential Question example about Volcanoes :  What determiness whether volcanoes are deadly or not? Fieldwork Group essential questions on Dorughts :  What role does water play in earth processes? What are some community impacts of a drought?

Reflection on Climate Change This week's lecture for Tuesday was super intriguing to me and very impactful. It sparked my anxiety for life. Growing up climate change and the effects of humans on the earth has been drilled into my education. I’ve been taught if the consequences of our actions in every science class I’ve ever taken...whether it be botany, oceanology, environmental science, and so on. Although this lecture was informational I still felt helpless. I recycle and try to live an eco-friendly lifestyle but I feel that we should be turning to the bigger Industries and company’s creating more and actually impactful pollution. We create these artificial environments that have consequences! Whether it be forestation, mining, extraction, and more we HAVE planetary boundaries. We only have one earth and it is crucial that we don’t take advantage of it. Our biggest issue in my eyes through climate change is the doing sea levels...which root from ice caps melting.
